Self Rescue Course – Expressions of Interest – Date TBC

Once again this year the club will be offering a self rescue course with guide and all round nice guy Mic Rofe. The course will teach you basic rope skills, anchor set up, abseiling safely, getting out of trouble and top-roping, sport or trad leading depending on the skill level of the group. It will be run over two days in the Blue Mountains (you’ll probably want to camp out).
Those who participate in the course will be expected to put their new skills to good use by leading or co-leading a trip. (Don’t be intimidated, we will help you!)

Definitely interested! I would not be able to make it on the 8-9 of October though, and not sure about the 5-6 of November.

Ah this looks great! I can do all dates except the 8-9 October. I’m happy to drive and can fit 3 extras in my car.

Actually I already know I can’t do the 1-2, and I prolly wont go if its on the 5th because i wanna compete in the last day of the bouldering series. The ones in between would be fine i think.

I’m keen for this too. SURMC does so many awesome things! Can’t do 1-2 Oct or 15-16 Oct, can potentially do 5-6 Nov, and can definitely do 8-9 and 29-30.

I’m deadly keen on it!! And I’ve got a car that can fit 2-3 others. My best dates are:
8-9 October
29-30 October
5-6 November
Also I know it’s not listed but any weekend between 18 Nov and 14 Dec would is fantastic because my semester finishes on 18 Nov!! =)

1/2,8/9, or 29/30 oct work for me, as does the first weekend of nov. definitely prefer later in the season though.
