This area many of you will never have heard of well its called the Wolgan Valley and its only short drive down a dirt road just on the other side of Lithgow. It is a place of towering sandstone cliffs and amazing crack lines. The area is trad (or aid) and the routes range from 1 to a rather large number of pitches.  The area has some rather long walk ins and the trails are a little to be desired. In short the Wolgan is the place to go if your looking for adventure or an Epic.

We shall all meet at the newnes camp ground at 830 – 9 am on the Saturday (there is no phone reception). It is a 3 hour drive so people leaving on saturday need to leave by 530 am. I would recomend leaving on friday night and sleeping there. Just make sure you know where you are going as with out a phone nobody can help you. We will sleep in the camping area which is past the hotel, over a small creek and onto a large oval.

It will be cold so who ever arrives first pick a spot in the early morning sun. We will also pick routes in the sun for the first half of the day. It is winter and in the mountains … make sure your warm enough

Since it is rather a longish way I would recommend either staying for friday or monday as well.
