Point Perpendicular – May

Even tho we don’t get a public holiday we’ll still be heading down to Point Perp on the weekend of Sat 2nd & Sun 3rd May. The drive is about 3hrs and we will be camping at Honeymoon Bay, the best option is to head down on Friday evening so we can get right into the action. And what action it is!
Point Perp is an amazing sea cliff destination with awe inspiring clean cut faces, corners and aretes. Don’t listen to anyone who tells you that it’s a bunch of tottering choss stacks, there’s plenty of good rock (but also plenty for all you budding choss monkeys). The climbing typically involves rapping in and climbing back out, and it should be considered a traditional climbing area, despite the presence of some sport and mixed routes. Participants should be able to either lead or second trad climbs. Side diversions include the abundant sea life and seals, dolphins and even a pod of whales have been seen on previous trips.

I can offer 4 spaces but with one problem — I have to go to a friends Hen’s night on Sat 2nd so I can only go on a day trip… I don’t mind which day.

I’m leaving from Syd @ about 6.30pm Fri and coming back at a similar time Sat and have 2 car spaces on the way down and 4 on the way back up.
I also have a massive tent (4 man) for anyone who wants to share. I don’t snore, and I have witnesses to that effect!!

i’ve got 4 spaces in my car, but the catch is i’m going to have to come back early on the sunday morning and will have to drop people off at a train station as i’m going back to a mate’s in oatley.

It appears I’m working friday. Which means I can’t leave home till 1030pm friday. I will be heading from hornsby so can pick up anybody on the way. We can sleep on late arrival. So It will be a full day climbing on sat.
Sorry for getting some people excited bout heading down a day early. So if your still interested in a lift let me know.

Fiona, would I be able to get a lift there with you as it would be more convenient for me than getting a lift with Dave but I was hoping to stay till sun so would I be able to come back with you Dave? Jesse has your tent but I will message him in case he doesn’t see this to ensure its return. Is the offer of a space in the tent still good?

Hey everyone, due to the situation with drivers needing to leave early, I have managed to borrow a car from the parents. So I have room for 1 or 2 more people both ways, or just for the return trip.
I don’t really want to be running around all of Sydney to pick people up. I’ll be coming from Epping and could pass by uni to pick up, or places in between. Let me know.
