Festival of the Canyon 2010 (Reloaded)

Forwarding information from UTSOAC...
Hi Uni Outdoors Clubs (and friends),

This is me stealing Ellen's invitation for last year, which was cancelled due to bushfire. Once again the UTS Outdoor Club invites you and your club to join in the 2010 Festival of the Canyon (as an substitute for the cancelled one last year). This year we will return to Mt Wilson on February 20&21, and I hope you will join us! For once I'd like to avoid bushfires (2006 and 2009), torrential rain (2007), and hail (2008), and have a sunny weekend fit for canyoning!

Thanks,
Christian Sax
UTS Outdoor Adventure Club

PS: I have attempted to invite SUBW, UNSWOC, ANUMC, and UTSSS, if you know of other clubs you would like to pass this invitation on to please do so. Thanks.

About the Festival:

If you are a lover of the canyons then come and enjoy a weekend of canyon worship amongst fellow canyon devotees from all over. You can canyon, climb, bushwalk or whatever during the day and then join in the Festival Party on Saturday night! Or just come for one or the other. So bring your club and run a trip or two to help kick start the canyon season!
The UTS Outdoor Adventure Club ( http://www.utsoac.org.au) organises an annual event we call 'Festival of the Canyon'. 2010 will be the sixth such event we have organised, and we would like to invite your club to take part. The aim of the weekend is to bring together people with similar interests, and promote canyoning in the Blue Mountains.
Previous Festivals have been highly successful with a wide range of participants from different clubs and groups.
IMPORTANT: Trips running over the weekend are the responsibility of each club (i.e. we expect you to provide all your own gear and trip leaders, and logistics e.g. transport) however there will be the opportunity for a bit of mixing of clubs depending on numbers. If you are interested we would encourage you to promote this event to your members. We would also ask that (if possible) you give us an estimate of how many people you think might come. If you would like more information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Volunteers to help organise are highly welcome :)

Thanks
Christian Sax
