La Presidente: Emma Welshman The President is ultimately responsible for the proper functioning of the club. A
thorough knowledge of the club constitution and meeting procedures is required.
• Chair all committee and general meetings of the club
• Co-ordinate activities within the club committee.
•Ensure all tasks on the SUSF Club Checklist are completed by the due date.
• Submit an annual report to the club Annual General Meeting and to Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness
• Prepare and submit a strategic plan for the club’s future to the club Annual General Meeting and to Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness, in conjunction with the rest of the committee
• Act as spokesperson for the club
• Act as club delegate to Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness
• Attend at least 50% of club nights during term time
•Ensure all board emails are responded to, and accept/reject those emails that enter the board administrative database
Presidents of Vice:

David Mulligan
The Vice Presidents deputise for the President of the club and assist in the fulfillment of club administrative functions.
• Act as deputy chairperson for all club meetings
• Ensure that the club’s activities are in accordance with the constitution and with the regulations of Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness
• Fulfill such other duties as the committee may request
• Attend at least 50% of club nights during term time
• Ensure all board emails are responded to, and accept/reject those emails that enter the board administrative database
Moneybags: Karen Gao The Treasurer is responsible for the receiving and dispensing of monies of the club. This involves financial accountability both to the club committee and to Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness, through the Manager, Finance and Administration.
• Maintain accurate financial records
• Prepare an annual budget of projected income and expenditure (Club Allotment budget) in conjunction with the other executives and submit to Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness when required.
• Present a financial report to each committee and general meeting of the club
• Present an audited financial report to the club Annual General Meeting
• Collect and bank all club income in trust account at the Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness Office
• Authorise all withdrawal of monies from club account at Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness Office;
• Authorise all club petty cash transactions and be accountable for such cash
• Attend any meetings requested by the Manager, Finance and Administration
Captain Kirk: Sam Kissajukian width= The Club Captain is primarily responsible for advising the President and the VPs on club matters, and formulating a development plan for the future of the club.
• Working with the Social Officer to ensure both sides of the sponsorship are upheld, and communicating with the Flodge.
• Formulating and implementing a strategic plan for the Club (including OH&S).
• Ensuring the Club Constitution is updated regularly and the club abides by it.
• Helping the President and VPs with any administrative tasks as needed, and advising them if necessary e.g. on gear purchases, training required or important things not being done.
Secretary-General: James Guest The Secretary is the primary organiser of the club and is responsible for effective
administration. The Secretary is the integral link between the club and the members as well as between the club and Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness and the club and external agencies.
• Convene all meetings as laid out in the club constitution and inform members when these meetings will be held
• Update the Constitution (with approval of the committee at the AGM) and maintain a record of it
• Prepare meeting agendas, support papers and minutes
• Submit the minutes of all meetings, including the club’s Annual General Meeting, to Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness within 14 days
• Attend to all correspondence for and on behalf of the club.
• Maintain a record of club office bearers, committee members and club representatives.
• Ensure that Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness are notified of changes to this within 14 days of their election or appointment and any alteration of these throughout their term.
• Help P and VP implement the decisions of the committee;
• Publicise & communicate to all members the decisions of the committee and their consequences for members;
• Maintain an up-to-date copy of the constitution of the club;
• Maintain club filing system and records;
• Prepare in conjunction with the President, club annual report for submission to Sydney Uni Sport
Gear Meanie: Alex Jolley The Equipment Officer is responsible for the purchase, maintenance and storage of equipment.
• Compile and maintain a record of all club equipment
• Complete an annual audit of all equipment and submit report to Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness and the club
• Recommend to the club committee any equipment purchases and make arrangements for such purchases, on behalf of the club
• Ensure that club equipment is maintained and is safe to use
• Ensure that all club equipment is stored securely and appropriately at all times and is currently insured e.g. boats, trailer etc.
• Complete a fortnightly audit of equipment (ie the email of shame) and track down overdue gear.
Trip/Training Officer: Chris Knox The Trip/Training Officer’s tasks are to organise trips at various levels on a regular basis. This does not mean the trip/training officer has to run them all, they just need to find people to run the trips. You also don’t need to be an experienced climber to suggest, organise or run club trips. Also they are responsible for overall growth and improvement of climber within the club. 

• Put together a calendar of upcoming club trips including conjunction with the Training Officer (this includes making sure there is a spread of trips of various styles, and levels)

• Remind attendees of the trip to collect gear, and ensure the Trip Leader(s) are organised and prepared.
• Be a point of contact for people interested in running trips/going on trips.
•Organise appropriate gear for the trip, in conjunction with the Gear Officer

• Organise advanced training and self-rescue courses as decided upon by the committee
• Be a point of contact for people interested in training, or advanced training.

Social Officer: Pip Collins • Organise the annual dinner/end of year party
• Organise any other social events as decided upon by the committe (e.g. slide nights, bouldering parties etc)
• Organise the club and interclub competition, and ensure the Publicity and Promotions Officer gets the relevant info
• Negotiating and maintaining our sponsorship, including special deals, vouchers, club nights etc
• Communicating and meeting with the Flodge to ensure we are both getting the best from our sponsorship deal
• Organise a roster for the meat raffle (once a month on Thursday nights at the Flodge – half price meals and a free drink for whoever does this) and ensure this goes smoothly. Roster should have 2 people per raffle night, and should ideally rotate through all the executive and committee members. Publicity officer should also be involved in this.
• Promote and keep the club up to date on what we gain from our sponsorship
• Keep a record of the sponsorship for future years to refer to (i.e. what we started with, what we have done/will do for the Flodge, club nights/annual events etc).
Danger mitigation officer: Daniel Roberts Clarke The Safety Officer is responsible for the health and safety of members and visitors.
• Keep a record of all accidents and incidents and provide copies to club committee and Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness
• Maintain a comprehensive first aid kit and ensure it is taken on all club trips
• Organise first aid training for club members and Self-Rescue Courses (with the help of the Training Officer)
• Help the President, VPs, Secretary and Treasure (possibly also Club Captain) formulate the strategic plan for the club, particularly focusing on the OH&S part of the plan.
Officer in Charge of Getting People to Join the Club: Adam Schaefer Membership Officer
• Respond to membership enquiries (i.e. reply to all those emails the board gets).
• Organise (with Publicity officer) O-week and run the O’Week stall
• Keep an up-to-date membership database. This includes adding members into the SURMC Newsletter on the website, and requesting Membership details from SUSF.
Officer in Charge of Attention-Seeking: Bec Page The Publicity and Promotions Officer is responsible for the public profile of the club and its members within the University and the general community.
• Devise and implement a club promotional strategy
• Aid the President in preparing the Annual Report
• Co-ordinate and implement club promotional activities
• Liaise with schools, sports associations and other clubs
• Aid the Social Officer in creating the meat raffle timetable and ensuring everything for the raffle goes smoothly.
• Organise (with membership officer) O-week
• Promote the Club and Club Events in the Ledge and in the Arena (i.e. posters for the club, the club and interclub competitions, End of Year party etc) and send the weekly Newsletter for reminders about everything during semester, and monthly outside semester times.
• Utilise the Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness avenues for promotion of our club, and submit trip reports, club updates and photographs to the weekly Lion’s Den, and Roar magazine
• Liaise with community media organisations for the promotion of the club and club activities
• Provide regular information to Sydney Uni Sport & Fitness for the website, e.g. calendar of events, upcoming fixtures, results etc.
l33t hax0r: Joon Kim IT Officer – responsible for development and maintenance of the website, as well as sharing the duties of the administrative board interface with the President and the Vice Presidents.
Abominable Snowman: Mick Morris Abominable Snowman/Alpine Officer – Running/helping run the Blue Lake trip. This role has potential for expansion if someone is keen.
